New Driveways by Biondo Cement - Macomb, MI
When replacing an existing driveway we start by removing the old concrete and hauling it away. Next we install a crushed concrete base that's also called 21aa, it is important to start with a good base to insure your driveway will be supported with a solid footing. A compactor is used to compact the crushed concrete for extra support. Next the forms are installed and checked for proper drainage, all water should be going away from your house.Steel rods reinforcements will be installed in the entire project and then your cement will be poured. We use a 6 bag mix concrete, this is the best concrete that can be used for outside work. The fresh cement is hand troweled and light broom finished. When the cement as cured we cut the control joints
